WELLCOM honored 31 of the midlands’ healthiest companies at their annual luncheon on Tuesday, October 11th, at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center in La Vista.
Governor Pete Ricketts and the Nebraska Department of Human Services (DHHS) announced this year’s recipients of the Governor’s Wellness Award. A total of 44 Nebraska employers representing 28 communities are being honored for developing and implementing successful worksite wellness programs.
WELLCOM, a nonprofit organization dedicated to workforce health and wellness, is leading the way in revamping Omaha’s transportation scene, releasing a first-of-its-kind active commuting toolkit for metro area businesses.
The Omaha Health Summit is an annual conference presented by Live Well Omaha and WELLCOM to advance the health needs of our community. It’s a time when employers, faith and community leaders, elected officials, educators, and non-profits come together to celebrate progress and reset Omaha’s sights on the next evolution of creating the healthiest city.
WELLCOM will honor 26 organizations at the 2015 Excellence in Worksite Wellness Awards Luncheon. The annual event draws 600 plus attendees and celebrates employers who have made a positive impact on their employees and culture through their worksite wellness program.
WELLCOM, a local non-profit organization that has served employers throughout Nebraska since 1982, recently expanded its service area to include Iowa and the Midwest region. WELLCOM provides programs and resources to help employers deliver data-driven wellness programs that strengthen employee morale and positively impact business results. WELLCOM was the first nonprofit organization in the United States whose mission was entirely dedicated to worksite wellness initiatives.
