Knox County Sheriff Don Henery completed the Trek up the Tower, a stair-climbing fitness event sponsored by WELLCOM, a non-profit company that provides Midwest employers of all sizes wellness programming.
Ivan Marsh, who holds the record for the fastest trek up the tower at 4 minutes and 15 seconds, was registered for this year's race but did not participate. Jason Larson, 35-year-old man from Minneapolis, recorded this year's fastest time at 4 minutes and 49 seconds.
Mark Block hopes to be one of the first in the stairwell and one of the last out at the Omaha event on Feb. 16. Trek Up the Tower is fundraiser
for Wellcom, nonprofit dedicated to worksite wellness.
WELLCOM is featured in this CDC study of workplace health in Nebraska.

Employees spend an average of third of their time at work so offering culture of health and well-being at the worksite is logical place to encourage healthy choices. Companies can offer direct benefits such as fitness centers, exercise equip- ment, healthy food choices or incentivize participants to become involved in behavior change programs like weight loss and tobacco cessation, WELLCOM CEO Theresa Nelson said.

The good news is fitness doesn’t come one-size-fits-all. By making exercise bite-sized and accessible, you can easily squeeze physical activity into your daily routine. Enter: the active commute.
